Introduction It seems like each therapeutic discipline and profession must have an ethical code, yet how does it develop? While working on my doctoral dissertation, conceptualizing and developing a nature therapy framework, I was asked to add a section about this issue. Although I thought that the development of an ethical code was beyond the academic scope of a Ph.D., and should be formulated by the professional community representing the practice, I rose to the challenge and added such a chapter to my dissertation. On concluding this chapter and relating it to my Ph.D's overall action-research orientation and strong affiliation with practice, I believe that discussion of this issue could help further the development of a code of ethics by the association that represents the profession.
